I had nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to kill. I started to get depressed.

We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our home, implemented on the bulk (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mother). This implies that whenever we want to smoke, we need to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. After cigarette smoking almost continuously when the depression set in, I started to discover the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females went about their day-to-day routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past your home. I started with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would disrupt me now, and say that a lot of ladies in the house do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have 2 replies.
