We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a doubt. Here's where I vary from the rest of you. Up until September, I had actually been much like you. In the 3rd week, a malaise started to sneak in. I had absolutely nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to kill. I started to get depressed.

We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our house, implemented on the bulk (me & my dad) by the minority (my mother). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two houses throughout the street. I began to choose up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who walk past the house. I began with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I generally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would interrupt me now, and state that the majority of ladies in your home do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and two, you do not know the half of everything. I think it's time I provided you a total image of our street and the people who reside on it. It will come in useful later on. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage children.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
