We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a 2nd idea. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women went about their day-to-day routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who walk past your home. I started with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would interrupt me now, and state that the majority of ladies at home do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and two, you do not know the half of everything. I think it's time I gave you a complete picture of our street and the people who live on it. It will can be found in useful later. It's a extremely small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the removed house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. She recently separated from her hubby and is in the procedure of moving. She is in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I haven't introduced myself yet, so now would be a good time. I'm John (28 ), and I live with my mum Chrissie (45) and father Bob (52 ). Next along are some newbies. At this time in November, I didn't understand their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. They were a couple, in their late 30's, early 40's, and they appeared to keep themselves to themselves. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City. I never spoke to him, even though what I'm about to inform you, so this is the last time I mention him.
