With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies went about their day-to-day routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who walk past your home. I started with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and say that the majority of females at home do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and two, you do not understand the half of it all. I believe it's time I offered you a total photo of our street and individuals who survive on it. It will come in helpful later. It's a very little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and then next to that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this website is the removed home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage kids.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
