We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a second idea. Setting off to work every day, worried more about what I was going to do with the day rather than what my neighbours would be up to. It didn't stop me from doing most things, I could walk, run, and climb, but it did stop me from driving, and that in turn stopped me from working.

I began to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females went about their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past the home. I began with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and say that the majority of females at house do what I do, stop and talk with the other females. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and after that next to that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the removed home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage children.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's home. She recently separated from her other half and remains in the process of moving. She is in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I haven't presented myself yet, so now would be a great time. I'm John (28 ), and I deal with my mum Chrissie (45) and daddy Bob (52 ). Next along are some newcomers. At this time in November, I didn't understand their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. Of course, whenever I talked to them, I utilized terms like a neighbour to bridge this gap in my understanding. They were a couple, in their late 30's, early 40's, and they seemed to keep themselves to themselves. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City. I never ever spoke to him, although what I'm about to tell you, so this is the last time I discuss him.
