We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a 2nd thought. November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who walk past your home. I began with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and say that many ladies at home do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and two, you don't know the half of all of it. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage children.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's home. She recently separated from her hubby and remains in the process of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has two pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our home. I have not introduced myself yet, so now would be a good time. I'm John (28 ), and I deal with my mum Chrissie (45) and father Bob (52 ). Next along are some beginners. At this time in November, I didn't know their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself.
