We have a no smoking policy in our home, imposed on the bulk (me & my father) by the minority (my mother). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two houses throughout the street. I began to choose up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the individuals who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and say that the majority of females at home do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. It's a very little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and after that next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always very first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish woman in her 60's. Then last on this site is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage kids. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
