All of us support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a doubt. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up up until September, I had been just like you. Triggering to work every day, concerned more about what I was going to finish with the day instead of what my neighbours would be up to. I developed a problem with my knee. A semi-serious issue. It didn't stop me from doing most things, I might walk, run, and climb, but it did stop me from driving, which in turn stopped me from working. I joined the ranks of the long-term sick, continued to get my paycheque, and sat and took it simple. The first few weeks were great I. managed to get all the little tasks that pile up done. In the third week, a malaise began to creep in. I had absolutely nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to eliminate. I began to get depressed.

We have a no smoking policy in our home, enforced on the majority (me & my father) by the minority (my mother). From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 houses throughout the street. I began to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who walk past the house. I started with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of individuals would interrupt me now, and say that a lot of women at home do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and after that next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly very first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Then last on this site is the detached house where Steve and Mandy cope with their 2 teenage boys. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's house. She recently separated from her partner and is in the procedure of moving. She is in her mid 30's and has two pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our home. I have not presented myself yet, so now would be a good time. I never ever talked to him, even though what I'm about to inform you, so this is the last time I mention him.
