In the third week, a despair began to creep in. I had absolutely nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to kill. I began to get depressed.

We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our house, enforced on the majority (me & my dad) by the minority (my mother). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two homes across the street. I began to select up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who walk past your home. I started with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would interrupt me now, and state that many women in your home do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have 2 replies. On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's house. Next is our home. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City.
