We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a 2nd thought. Setting off to work every day, concerned more about what I was going to do with the day rather than what my neighbours would be up to. It didn't stop me from doing most things, I could stroll, run, and climb, but it did stop me from driving, and that in turn stopped me from working.

We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our home, imposed on the majority (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mother). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two houses across the street. I started to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past the home. I started with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. A lot of people would disrupt me now, and say that most women at house do what I do, talk and stop with the other ladies. It's a very little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and after that next to that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage sons.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
