With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women went about their day-to-day routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who walk past your house. I began with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I typically walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would interrupt me now, and say that the majority of ladies at home do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. I have 2 replies. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the separated house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage sons.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City.
