I had absolutely nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to kill. I began to get depressed.

We have a no smoking policy in our home, implemented on the majority (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mom). This indicates that whenever we want to smoke, we have to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 houses across the street. After cigarette smoking practically continually when the anxiety embeded in, I began to see the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females set about their day-to-day routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past your house. I began with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and say that most females in the house do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have 2 replies. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Then last on this site is the separated home where Steve and Mandy cope with their 2 teenage boys. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. She just recently separated from her husband and is in the process of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I have not introduced myself yet, so now would be a great time. I'm John (28 ), and I deal with my mum Chrissie (45) and papa Bob (52 ). Next along are some newbies.
