November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I normally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. A lot of people would disrupt me now, and state that a lot of females at house do what I do, stop and chat with the other ladies.
