All of us accompany this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a doubt. Here's where I vary from the rest of you. Up up until September, I had been much like you. Triggering to work every day, concerned more about what I was going to do with the day instead of what my neighbours would depend on. Then, I developed a problem with my knee. A semi-serious issue. I joined the ranks of the long-lasting sick, continued to get my paycheque, and sat and took it easy. The very first few weeks were great I. managed to get all the little jobs that accumulate done. Then in the third week, a malaise started to creep in. I had nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to kill. I began to get depressed.

We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our home, imposed on the majority (me & my dad) by the minority (my mom). This means that whenever we wish to smoke, we need to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses across the street. After smoking nearly constantly when the depression embeded in, I started to discover the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women set about their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the individuals who walk past the home. I began with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and state that many females at home do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Last on this website is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage children.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
