This implies that whenever we want to smoke, we need to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. After smoking cigarettes nearly continually when the anxiety set in, I started to discover the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I began to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women tackled their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the individuals who stroll past the house. I started with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many individuals would disrupt me now, and state that many females at home do what I do, stop and talk with the other females. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 structures in all). On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. She recently separated from her husband and is in the process of moving.
