We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our home, implemented on the bulk (me & my dad) by the minority (my mother). This implies that whenever we want to smoke, we need to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses across the street. After smoking cigarettes nearly continuously when the depression embeded in, I began to notice the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I began to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women went about their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of individuals who walk past your house. I started with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I generally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and say that the majority of women at home do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. I have two replies. On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's house. She recently separated from her husband and is in the procedure of moving. She is in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I haven't presented myself yet, so now would be a good time. I'm John (28 ), and I deal with my mum Chrissie (45) and father Bob (52 ). Next along are some newcomers.
