After smoking nearly continuously when the depression set in, I started to observe the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women went about their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who walk past the house. I started with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of individuals would interrupt me now, and state that many women at home do what I do, chat and stop with the other ladies. Then last on this website is the detached home where Steve and Mandy cope with their 2 teenage children. They are in their late 30's.
