We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a 2nd idea. I started to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies went about their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the individuals who walk past the house. I began with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. A lot of people would interrupt me now, and state that most women at home do what I do, stop and talk with the other females. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Then last on this site is the separated house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage boys. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
